Floor CD / DVD Rack - Brushed Aluminum
By BRM Designs - they handform and assemble these tension structures
from 112 polished stainless and brushed aluminum parts in their
Vermont studio. The base is 3/8" steel plate with a textured
powder paint finish. The strands on this model are a natural
brushed aluminum. As the successor to our popular CD rack, this
DVD rack, at nearly 5 feet tall, holds roughly 80 DVDs in their
original boxes. It will easily hold CDs as well. This rack ships
via UPS and arrives fully assembled. The Museum of Science and
Industry in London recently featured this graceful sculpture
on the cover of their catalog and this design was also the inspiration
for a commissioned sculpture to commemorate the completion of
the mapping of the human genome project. I am proud of this
strong selling design and its acceptance into the modern iconography
of furnishings as sculpture. Music for the eyes.
